Panama China Trade Development Office participated in the China-LAC Business Summit, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade CCPIT and the China Chamber of International Trade CCOIC, in Hebei Province, Tangshan.
At this meeting, seeking to promote the 10th China-LAC Business Summit to be held in October this year in the same province, and keep strengthening on economic and trade ties between China and Latin America and the Caribbean.
During the presentation made by the Permanent Representative Any Lam Chong L., projects that are part of the 2014-2019 five-year plan was introduced, such as the expansion of Tocumen International Airport, Metro Line, Fourth Bridge, Transmission Line power, Port Projects, among others. Panama's economic performance, as well as the laws of incentives to foreign investment was also highlighted, the platform banking sector, the Panama Canal and its expansion, including port, logistics, transportation and storage services, among others.
The attendees, state and private companies, investors, Vice Mayor of Tangshan, executives of the CCOIC, showed great interest in the Law of Multinational Headquarters, Trade Zones, the Expanded Canal and public investment in Panama.
The Vice Mayor of Tangshan, Honorable Mr. Li Qin Feng, said it will focus on the industries of clean, renewable energy, new building materials, equipment manufacturing, port logistics, cooperation between cities in Tangshan and seeking rapprochement with the Latin America and the Caribbean.
This Business Summit included a visit to the International Container Port Tangshan, and the Laoting Industrial Zone for Cooperation between China and Latin America, with companies specializing in renewable energy, machinery, wind energy production, and in the industries of import and export.
